  Under Graduate Teaching

               Teachiing  Students in various courses – MBBS ,BSc Nursing,BPharm, DPharm ,Ophthalmic assistants and lab Technicians  are  routinely done  ..Methods include  Seminars,Group discussions , Demonstrations,Practical work, visits to public health Institutions, and Community  oriented training .Epidemiological and statistical methods are given impetus .University examination is in the Seventh semesterfor MBBS Course

Interns training stresses on  primary and secondary level care in rural and urban settings.

 Rural Field Practice-  MCH UNIT CHERUPPA under administrative control  of the medical college is the field practice area  for all students and interns. ROME CHCs at Mukkam, Thiruvangoor,Thalakulathur and CHC Narikunni, Balussery and Thamarassery are also utilized for training.

 Urban Field Practice – UHC under medical college provides services for a population of 50000. Other urban Training Centres are UHC Mankavu and UHC Paniankara .

 Post graduate Course (MD)

Duration ( 3 Years) Intake of 2 students/Year -Seminars ,Journal clubs, attendance at CMEs ,participation in National health programmes , Community health , thesis work & research activities are carried out. Around 31 students have completed their MD Program since 1980.

            Awarded to the MBBS  student of Calicut Medical College ,securing highest marks  in Community Medicine Examination of Calicut University.
